Sishya

Kum. Akanksha began her dance journey at the age of 8. After her initial training with Guru Smt.Puja Allepalli, Director of Shivanjali Center of Fine Arts, Akanksha came under the tutelage and guidance of Guru Smt. Sulakshana Jayaram, Artistic Director, Shivoham School of Dance.

The training at Shivoham School of Dance (SSD) has instilled in her, to learn the divine art with discipline, dedication, sincerity and enthusiasm. Akanksha is blessed and has had the privilege of participating in group performances at several local cultural programs as part of Shivoham School of Dance.

Akanksha has had several group and short solo performance opportunities representing Shivoham School of Dance in dance festivals in Colorado including Global Beats, Douglas County Library Fundraiser event and volunteered for Aikyam Foundation Cancer Research Fundraiser event.

Akanksha is a Senior at the University of Colorado-Boulder majoring in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Biomedical Engineering. She is a part of CU Abhinaya, a Premier Semi-Classical Indian Dance Team at the University of Colorado-Boulder.
